Can't remember your passphrase?

The security features of Hushmail prevent our staff from having access to your passphrase. We designed Hushmail this way as an added safeguard against unauthorized access to your email.

This improves the security of Hushmail, but has an unfortunate consequence: we can't recover or reset your passphrase if you have lost it.

Hushmail passphrases are case sensitive. This means that p is not the same as P. If you are having difficulty accessing your account, make sure that you do not have Caps Lock enabled on your keyboard.

Double-check that you are entering your full email address when you attempt to sign in. Hushmail email addresses can end in @hushmail.com, @hush.com, @mac.hush.com, @hushmail.me, @hush.ai or your own domain.

If you have a Hushmail Premium subscription, we'll transfer the duration of your subscription to another account at no charge if you contact us.

If your passphrase is saved in your web browser and automatically filled in on our sign-in page, most web browsers now offer the ability to view and retrieve saved credentials. Instructions for major web browsers can be found below:

Note: If you are using a Hushmail Business or Healthcare account under a custom domain, then your domain administrator may be able to reset your passphrase for you with help from this article.
