Change your password

Changing your password regularly is a great way to keep your Hushmail account secure. You can easily update your passphrase through the webmail interface.

Note: To change your password this way, you must already know your current passphrase.

If you have an administrator on your account, they can follow these steps to reset your password for you if you forget or lose it.

Steps to Change Your Password:

  1. Sign in to your Hushmail account.
  2. In the upper-right corner, click the menu and select Preferences.
  3. Go to the About You tab, and click the pencil icon next to Password.
  4. Enter your current password, then click Continue.
  5. Type your new passwordin both fields, and click Save.

Once saved, your new password will take effect immediately. Make sure to choose something secure and memorable.
