Read receipts

When you send an email through your Hushmail account, you can ask the recipient to notify you that they have read the email by sending them a read receipt request. When they do this you will receive an email back to your Hushmail account indicating the recipient has read your email.

Note: Not all email providers support the read receipt request feature. Therefore, some recipients may not see your read receipt request. Also, it is up to the recipient if they want to send you the read receipt. Read receipt requests are a courtesy tool, not a forced way to see that someone read your email.

To learn how to send an email with a read receipt just follow the steps below.

1. Log into your Hushmail account.
2. Click on Compose to send a new email.
3. Click on Show Options on the right hand side of the screen.
4. Mark the check box for Request a read receipt.

Now when you send your email the recipient will receive your read receipt request.
