Send from an email alias
An email alias is a great way to protect your primary email address while still staying connected. With an alias, you can send and receive emails using a different address that ends in @nym.hush.com, all while keeping everything organized in your main Hushmail inbox.
How to create an email alias
- Sign in to your Hushmail account.
- Select Preferences from the menu in the top-right corner.
- Go to the Email aliases tab.
- Enter the alias you’d like to use, then click Save.
Note: You can use this link to go directly to the Email aliases tab in Preferences.
Note: Once you create an alias, it remains linked to your email address, even if you delete it. You can always recreate the alias later, but no one else will be able to use it.
How to send a new message from an email alias:
- Click on Compose to start a new email.
- Next to the From address, click the drop-down menu where your email address appears.
- Select the email alias you want to send from.
After selecting your email alias, you can write your message as usual, and the alias will appear in the From field for the recipient, instead of your primary email address.
