Insert photos into your emails

Adding images into your emails is a great way to share visual content with ease. Whether you're including photos for a professional purpose or just for fun, Hushmail makes it simple to insert them directly into your messages.

Inserting Photos

You have two easy options to add images to your email:

  1. Drag and drop the image right into the message when writing your email.
  2. Use the Insert photos button on the Compose screen.

Once inserted, the image will automatically display within the email rather than as an attachment.

Important details:

  • You can insert up to 50 MB of image files total in a single email.
  • Each image can be no larger than 20 MB.
  • If you're adding a large image, you'll see a temporary thumbnail while it uploads.
  • To remove an image, press the "Backspace" key (or "Delete" on a Mac).

Note: It's good practice to resize large photos before inserting them into your messages. You can resize images using built-in tools on your computer, like Preview on Mac or Paint on Windows. Simply open the image, select the resize option, and adjust the dimensions to a smaller size while maintaining the aspect ratio. Many online tools are also available if you need a quick solution.
