Using a catch-all email address
A catch-all email address is a helpful tool for ensuring you don’t miss emails sent to incorrect or non-existent addresses under your domain. For example, if someone accidentally sends an email to wrongemail@yourpractice.com, it will automatically be delivered to your catch-all address instead of bouncing back. This is particularly useful for catching typos or unexpected emails.
Note: You can only set up a catch-all address if your Hushmail account uses your website name or a custom domain (like yourpractice.com or yourpractice.hush.com).
If you're a domain administrator, here’s how you can set up a catch-all address for your Hushmail account.
Steps to set up a catch-all email address
- Sign in to your Hushmail administrator account.
- In the upper-right corner, click the menu and select Preferences.
- Open the Domain tab and click Manage your domain.
- On the left-hand side, click Domains.
- Select Configure Domain and scroll to the Catch-all Email Address section.
- Enter the email address you want to use as the catch-all address.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Save.
That’s it! Your catch-all email address is now set up. This ensures that any email sent to an incorrect address under your domain will arrive in the email account you assign as your catch-all address.
