Use Hushmail with Network Solutions
Note: These instructions are for customers who are using their own website/domain name, like yourpractice.com, which they have registered through Network Solutions.
To send and receive email with your Hushmail account, you need to update your DNS records in Network Solutions. DNS records help direct your email correctly and reduce the chances your messages will end up in spam. Follow these steps to update your MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records in Network Solutions.

Getting started
- Sign in to your Network Solutions account.
- In the left panel, select Domains.
- Scroll down to Advanced Tools and click on the arrow to open the panel.
- Next to Advanced DNS Records click Manage.
- To create a new record, click Add Record (top right). To edit a record, click the three dots (⋮) > Edit.
Add 2 MX records
- Click Add Record with:
- Type: MX
- Refers to: @
- Mail Server: plsmtp1.hushmail.com
- Priority: 10
- TTL: 1 Hour
- Click Add, then repeat with:
- Type: MX
- Refers to: @
- Mail Server: plsmtp2.hushmail.com
- Priority: 10
- TTL: 1 Hour
- Delete any other MX records.
Add an SPF record
- Click Add Record with:
- Type: TXT
- Refers to: @
- TXT Value: v=spf1 include:_spf.hushmail.com -all
- TTL: 1 Hour
Add a DKIM record
- Click Add Record with:
- Type: CNAME
- Refers to: Other Host
- Host Name: hush._domainkey
- Alias to: _dkim.hushmail.com
- TTL: 1 Hour
Add a DMARC record
- Click Add Record with:
- Type: TXT
- Refers to: Other Host
- Host Name: _DMARC
- TXT Value: v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; pct=100
- TTL: 1 hour
Note: After updating your DNS records, it may take some time for the changes to take effect. After 15 minutes, use our DNS checking tool to ensure everything is pointing in the right direction. If you continue need help, please contact our Customer Care Team.
