Objective:
This article will teach you how to update your existing domain’s MX records to point to Hushmail if you have a domain registered on WordPress.
Why you need to set your MX records:
Mail Exchanger (MX) records are the part of DNS records that direct email to specific servers on the Internet. Before Hushmail can receive mail for your domain, you’ll need to configure the MX records.
1. Sign in to WordPress
2. Navigate to the Domains page
My Site → Manage → Domains
Every custom domain will have its own section here.
3. Select Change your name servers & DNS records
4. Select DNS records
You will then see a list of existing DNS records for that domain.
5. Remove any old MX records
Remove DNS records by clicking on the trash can icon.
6. Type in the first new MX record
Type: MX
Name: @
Points to: plsmtp1.hushmail.com
7. Click Add New DNS Record
8. Type in the second new MX record
Type: MX
Name: @
Points to: plsmtp2.hushmail.com
