Objective:
This article will teach you how to update your existing domain’s MX records to point to Hushmail if you have a domain registered on Siteground.com.
Why you need to set your MX records:
Mail Exchanger (MX) records are the part of DNS records that direct email to specific servers on the Internet. Before Hushmail can receive mail for your domain, you’ll need to configure the MX records.
1. Sign in to SiteGround and navigate to the DNS Zone Editor
Site Tools > Domain > DNS Zone Editor
2. Choose your domain and click on the MX tab
3. Add the first MX record
Type the following record into the Destination field:
plsmtp1.hushmail.com
Type 10 in the Priority field, leave the Name field blank and adjust the TTL (time to live) according to your preference. If an MX record already exists, replace it with the new record.
4. Click Create
5. Repeat steps 1 and 2 and add the second MX record
Type the following record into the Destination field:
plsmtp2.hushmail.com
Type 10 in the Priority field, leave the Name field blank and adjust the TTL (time to live) according to your preference. If an MX record already exists, replace it with the new record.
6. Click Create
