Maximum number of messages that a user can send in one day

We currently limit the number of outgoing emails sent in a 24 hour period. This is done to ensure that our system does not facilitate the sending of Spam.

The limits are as follows:

  1. Email sent through the web-mail interface: 350 emails sent in a 24 hour period
  2. Email sent using IMAP/POP/SMTP clients such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird: 2,000 emails sent in a 24 hour period.

In addition, there are limits on the maximum number of recipients per message sent as follows:

  1. Email sent through the web-mail interface by Hushmail and Hushmail Premium users: 350 recipients per message.
  2. Email sent using IMAP/POP/SMTP clients such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird: 250 recipients per message.

Note: Each recipient counts as one message, so a message with 25 recipients will be counted as 25 messages towards the maximum number of messages sent in a 24 hour period.
